Rural Support continues to provide Relevant Training and Free Services to Farmers and Farm Families across Northern Ireland.
The final workshop dates will be taking place at various venues across Northern Ireland in the upcoming weeks. These workshops are part of CAFRE’s Farm Family Key Skills Programme.
This free training provides practical support and guidance with the specific aim of helping participants identify stress points, both in themselves and others, and learn how to deal with them. The training focuses on how to recognise the symptoms of excessive stress, exploring ways to build resilience and develop strong mental wellbeing. It will also focus on how to access specialist support when it is needed. Participants also learn how to support family, friends and neighbours who may also be struggling with certain issues in their lives.
“I was reluctant to attend at first but I’m so glad I did as I found the workshop extremely informative and I learnt a lot from it. The facilitators were great and pitched it at the right tone to the audience. I would highly recommend it to all farming families!”, said a recent participant of the programme.
The workshops are delivered by two Rural Support facilitators, who also regularly work with farmers and farm families on a variety of issues, bringing a wealth of experience and understanding of the challenges, as well as expertise to help overcome them.
Upcoming dates and locations of the workshops include:
• 9th March at Wark Hall, Belleek at 7.30pm
• 10th March at Wildfowler Inn, Greyabbey at 7.30pm
• 16th March at Minterburn Presbyterian Church, Aughnacloy at 7.30pm
• 23rd March at The Old Courthouse, Kesh at 7.30pm
