Support Line

At Rural Support we understand how rewarding but equally how challenging farming can be and the impact this can have not only on the farmer but also the whole family.  It’s normal to feel sad, angry or low sometimes but if you’ve been feeling like this for a while then it is time to do something about it.  To support our farming community, Rural Support provides a free confidential service for farmers and their families across Northern Ireland through its Support Line.

We can also refer you to face to face support through the Farm Business Mentoring service and can help you source information and provide guidance about a wide range of issues. From family disputes and rural isolation to financial challenges and succession issues, we will work with you and together identify options to help you face these challenges and move forward with confidence.

Our staff and volunteers understand the challenges and issues facing farmers and farm families. They have experience in helping individuals deal with various issues and providing support in making difficult decisions.

If you need someone to talk to contact our support line on 0800 138 1678, all calls are confidential and the support line operates from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Friday. We are ready to listen when you are!
