Type of Farm

Small family farm, located on the North Down coast with views overlooking Belfast Lough.


Built in 1983 and only owned by our family since. Arable farm with small sheep herd but main activity is horses. We have bred horses and trained racehorses with success for approximately 20 years.

Farm Activities Offered To Participants

  • Work with sheep
  • Lambing experience
  • Horticultural Activities – vegetable garden
  • Chickens/egg collecting
  • Work with horses/pony including grooming
  • Horse training for those who want to advance their horse skills.
  • Farm maintenance work such as fencing and painting Picturesque walks

About Us

Farming experience for 30 years.

Racehorse trainer for 20 years.

Foster carer for the South Eastern Trust for nearly three years.

Partner who is also a registered foster carer and assists in delivering Social Farming days.

Social Farming

Delivering Social Farming sessions one day per week for South Eastern Trust service user since October 2018. Increased delivery to two sessions per week in 2019. Keen to sustain service delivery on two days per week.

Relevant experience:
Multiple placements for children in care placed through the South Eastern Trust.

Delivered several days in conjunction with Include Youth for care leavers on an employability scheme. This included showing them farming activities such as ear tagging sheep, painting stables, fencing and working with the horses.
